Irospan Diarrhea

I was prescribed Irospan for low ferritin but it is causing diarrhea. My doctor suggested taking it every other day but I fear it will just cause diarrhea every other day. I would like to be taking at least some iron every day. Has anyone tried splitting the pill?

It is not recommend that they be cut, or split. The Irospan tablets are listed as being controlled release, so cutting or splitting the tablet could result in your getting too much, at once, which could result in even worse side effects.
