Hello,
According to everydayhealth.com, " Iodine Plus-2 is a supplement made of iodine, vitamin B-2, vitamin B-3, and selenium. The thyroid gland converts iodine to the thyroid hormone. In most cases of low thyroid, however, the thyroid gland is not working properly, or the signal from the brain to the thyroid is not working. Iodine is only recommended for an iodine-deficiency hypothyroidism. Most people ingest enough table salt in their daily diet that they do not require iodine supplements. If the thyroid gland is not processing iodine correctly, the extra iodine could build up in the body to unsafe levels. The rest of the ingredients can boost energy, but do not correct the thyroid either."
Iodine Plus 2 doesn't contain any fat burning or appetite suppressing ingredients, and therefore would not be considered a favorable choice for a weight loss supplement. The supplement is designed to affect the adrenal system, which will help regulate the production of thyroid hormones. When you have an overactive thyroid, or one that is producing too many hormones, you will have more difficulty with losing weight, and it will be much easier to gain weight than if you have a normal thyroid.
Side effects: odine is LIKELY SAFE for most people when taken by mouth at recommended amounts.
Iodine can cause significant side effects in some people. Common side effects include nausea and stomach pain, runny nose, headache, metallic taste, and diarrhea.
In sensitive people, iodine can cause side effects including swelling of the lips and face (angioedema), severe bleeding and bruising, fever, joint pain, lymph node enlargement, allergic reactions including hives, and death.
It's impossible to know how fast or how well it will work for you, because results most likely vary depending on the person.
I hope this information helps!
