Invega Sustenna And Insomnia

I am having a lot of secondary effects after stopping invega.

1. anhedonia
2. cognitive problems
3. walking problems
4. insomnia

Is anyone experiencing the same? Especially the insomnia. It's almost 4 months without the medication and I sleep 1 hour. Please help.

Sorry to hear about your insomnia and other issues after stopping Invega.

I didn't see it specifically mentioned in the consumer drug information from Medline Plus. However, I did a bit more digging and pulled up the full clinical document from DailyMed, and it states:

" Other Adverse Reactions Observed During Premarketing Evaluation of Paliperidone

The following additional adverse reactions occurred in < 2% of paliperidone-treated subjects in the above schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder clinical trial datasets. The following also includes additional adverse reactions reported at any frequency by paliperidone-treated subjects who participated in other clinical studies.

... Psychiatric disorders: agitation, insomnia, nightmare

The thing is that I have discontinued the treatment but I still have the side effects 3 months later. I was looking for people that have had the same problem.

I see. Lingering side effects are no fun. I do hope that someone else who was dealing with the same thing will be able to chime in here. Have you already brought these concerns to your doctor?

My doctor denies the situation. Lingering effects are not possible meanwhile I am suffering. There are here another post about the lingering effects of invenga sustenna but so far Doctors deny them

I just got off invega for 3 months now and I am suffering too. Especially with my sleep. I read somewhere it took somebody two years to get their sleep back. I find this to be incredibly frustrating and yes, doctors deny or are unaware of this. They say it’s out of my system, but I feel like if so, why am I still suffering from terrible insomnia. I hope yours gets better
