Interaction Between Remeron And Nuvigil

I want to know if there is any documented interaction between these two medications.
I was prescribed the Remeron (30 mg) to take it at night and the Nuvigil (150 mg) in the morning. I have been experiencing a strange sensation when I move my head quickly or go up/down the steps. The sensation leaves me for a brief second feeling as if I was on a boat or on a wave. I also experience increased ringing in my ears but no pain.
I don't have headaches but the sensation is very uncomfortable. My doctor doesn't seem to think it is due to the medications and that perhaps there may be something affecting my balance system which has not been identified yet.

There are no interactions listed between the two medications, however, Nuvigil contains Armodafinil, it is a stimulant used to treat Narcolepsy, Shift Sleep Disorder and Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

One of its most common side effects is dizziness.

In addition, these stimulant medications can cause changes to your blood pressure, so what you're experiencing may be Orthostatic Hypotension from the sudden movement.

Remeron contains the active ingredient Mirtazapine, which is a tetracyclic antidepressant, with several medical uses.

It can also cause dizziness, as a side effect, as well as a loss of balance.

Thus, there could be several reasons for your problem and it may, indeed, arise from the medications.

I am taking 22.5mg of Remeron and 250mg of Nuvigil. I have the same experience of riding a wave. I feel slightly unstable on my feet and floaty. It's weird and it's definitely the medication as I am very athletic and agile. Don't ever let a doctor tell you that you are wrong!
