Information On Ceph 500 / 2 Questions

If I have this medication for my dog. Is it interactive with humans? Can I take it? I have a tooth ache that is so bad with infection my face is swollen. I can't see a dentist for 6 days. I'm trying everything from garlic, ginger, peroxide, Apple cider vinegar, etc to help and nothing is helping. Also is there penicillin in this drug? I am allergic. Thank you for your help.

As to this medication, unfortunately, I can't speak to the safety of your taking it. Many medications that are prescribed for canines are the same as those prescribed for people, but not all.

Are there any markings on it that would enable me to check?

No, it doesn't contain Penicillin, it contains Cephalexin. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Have you tried going to urgent care or an ER?
