I'm also recently from Florida. And really need to find a Dr to perscribe the medicadions I take asap honestly. Theres are pain Dr in fairbanks Alaska the hospital refers everyone to,who only gives epidurals but,his not any good "Worst experence in almost 14 years of getting epidurals for pain&He's totally agenst any medications. And would't consider perscribing more the a few to wing me off&Be off the medications for any pain or preventing pain for any reasons even " like my"gail stones Need a epidural shot."Like What can he do to help them go away ?" "Not 1thing !" looking for a New Pain Dr who will perscribe at least the percecet & the tummy meds I take. Also be honset about not being able to help my neck "If they can not,"Was reciving treatment in FL for bone spures and It was working,"but,My neck is getting really bad and not shore if holding off surgury is possible anymore and refer me to a surgeon And Hopefully fix the sciatica pain Dr Joh "Not spelled exactlly this way " caused with his viscous steriod epidurals this week.
There really is nothing new as far as narcotic pain medications, you are on pretty much the strongest available with the Oxycodone in the Roxicodone.

The Methadone is also very strong.

And yes, it is also true that Medicaid does not cover some medications, such as the time released Oxycodone, due to the problems with abuse and diversion of it.
It really sounds like your doctor is prescribing the best and strongest they can that your insurance will cover.
Have you talked to them about the fact that this is not handling your pain?
