Info On Tramadol

Is It a narcotic? How safe is it to take for long period?Does it interfere with any other drug taken? I take it for fibromialgia and rheumathoid arthritis.

No, Tramadol is not classified as a narcotic, though the FDA has changed their minds on this, several times.

Currently, it is classified as a centrally acting analgesic, because it does not control pain as well as a narcotic, but it can cause similar side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth.

It can react with some other medications, however, there are far too many for me to list.

Can you post back with the name of any other drugs you are concerned about? I will gladly check the interactions for you.
