Inflamed Bladder

Updated May 15, 2018

I had successfully taken Jardiance for four years and then developed an inflamed bladder from it. I have been off the drug nearly 10 days now and the symptoms have mostly gone away but not completely. My doctor does believe they will go away and I will not take that drug again. I had no UTI, no yeast infection and no other kind of infection.
Unfortunately the next step is probably insulin. However, the bladder issue was so terribly uncomfortable I’m just glad it’s over.

Hello, Linda! How are you? I am so sorry that you went through such misery.

The FDA does warn that it can cause bladder issues, such as pain, increase urination, and very light colored urine, along with nausea, dizziness, hypoglycemia, and dehydration.

Have you had any further improvement, yet?

What other medication has your doctor recommended?
