Increased Libido On Nuvigil

I have just been diagnosed with narcolepsy and have been taking Nuvigil for five days and now all I can think about is intercourse, all day, all night. I have tried taking care of myself but still never feel satiated. This is very unusual for me, I am usually way too tired to bother with intercourse with my husband but he is all I think about now. I kinda like this feeling but it's a bit over the top. Anyone else get this kind of side effect and did it eventually go away?

I have been taking Armodafinil for almost 2 years now. I have always had a strong libido but i do feel it’s higher since starting the medication. So in my case at least, the answer is no. But everyone is different.

I completely understand your dilemma. Holy crap... I swear this is "Spanish Fly" lol. You'd think it's a great thing.. but damn, there needs to be a little break somewhere. It's CONSTANT.

Yes, this medication is a stimulant, so it can sometimes cause that as a side effect in some people that take it, according to FDA reports. Other side effects may possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight loss, irritability, and anorexia.

How are you both doing? Has there been any change?

Can anyone else that's been on this medication chime in?

Hello- I have just been prescribed nuvigil and my libido is already elevated compared to my wife. I am sorry i know this doesn't answer your question. I just was wondering since you have posted this question if your drive has subsided or stayed the same, etc? I've been reading everything I can about this drug. I've been given it for shift disorder and sleep apnea. I work in public safety and my shifts are 24hrs. Thank you for any info/help.
