Hello,
To gain weight in a healthy manner I would suggest the first option of portioning out your meals every 2-3 hours (right around 6 meals per day). These meals should include natural nutrient dense foods with little to no empty calories, so you can get the most out of each meal.
Another option which would be useful to include with the above information, is to supplement with something that will increase your appetite. Depending on your view, medical marijuana has extreme appetite increasing properties; however there are other pills out there that can do pretty much the same thing.
Most importantly (in my opinion) is to get as many fruits and veggies in your diet as possible (I personally blend a drink of just fruits and veggies every morning and cannot fathom how much it has impacted the way I feel and helps me maintain any given weight; with some exercise of course). The abundance of nutrients in them will help keep you active during the day as well as nourish your body from the inside out; allowing your body to better absorb nutrients found in other foods which in turn helps you get the most out of each meal.
