In Pain And Having Withdrawl

I have been on 40 to 80 mg OC's for almost 10 years. My pain control was sufficient and could engage in life for the most part. I have a degenerative problem in my lower back and with no pain control I am virtually bed ridden. In addition, I have problems with my shoulders and my knees due to a once active invovement in several sports. I experienced some degree of pain every day, even with the OC's. With the change to op's I am increasingly becoming bed ridden and experiencing, for the most part either pain or withdrawl. My doctor requires several random UA's and I have had no results that indicate anything but strict adherence to my pain control contract. Please, Purdue, et al, let me and countless others have our lives back.

Hi there, I am going through the same as you right now. I would like to talk to someone on oxycontin as well. I was just put on 80, but i think 90 would help me not be bedriden anylonger. My doctor said that there is no 90, and she would have her license removed if she were to prescribe it. I am very scared to come off it one day, but the home nurses say that we have to manage the pain first, and i do. I have no quality of life this way, Jackie please email me [email protected]

Have you discussed the problems you are having with your doctor?

There are a couple of other options for pain, that are time released. One of them would be the Fentanyl patch:
