I took 300 mg of clindamycin, 3 times a day for 8 days. I finished it 2 days ago. Towards the end, I had a day or two of loose stool. So I went on the internet to read about the side effects of clindamycin. And now I'm very scared. Many people seem to get C. Difficile infection during or after the period that they took clindamycin. The dentist who prescribed it and the pharmarcist didn't mention this risk to me. Is this risk very likely? What can I do to minimize the risk? Thanks.

Diarrhea is a normal side effect of most antibiotics, including Clindaymycin, according to the U.S. FDA and the NIH. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and non-allergic skin rash.
It should go away, in few days, since you've finished it, if it does not, or if it worsens, then you will need to consult your doctor.
