I'm Scared ! I Have To Get Naloxen Soon

Hi, I'm in a really bad situation. I have to get the vivitrol shot in 8 days. I used subutex today. I'm so scared of being extremely sick. If I drink a lot of water in the next 8 days will it help clean my system out some so maybe I won't be as sick???

You do need to be in full withdrawal from any opiates, before you can use the Vivitrol. However, after 8 days, in theory you should be fine. It usually only takes a couple of days, for most people, but it would be best to inform your doctor to be safe.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of Vivitrol as possibly including nausea, dizziness, administration site soreness, redness and headache.

I'm taking naltrexone after a detox and used opiates. God only a knows why. Now I really didn't feel it and still have dilated pupils. Next day I'm still feeling sick from when the detox began. Do I have to wait 7 days again before taking naltrexone again or did the opiates just bypass in my brain and I'm ok to continue?

You most likely won't get sick as 8 days are usually enough to get it out of the system. 5 days are usually enough. However, if you are scared, just take 1/4 of Naltrexone pill on day 7 and you'll be fine. Should there be any little bits of opioid left, they'll be flushed out gently.
