I'm In Orlando And Can Not Get My Methadone 10mg Filled From My Pharmacy

Im in Orlando been going to the same pharmacy for over a year and suddenly in dec. of 2014 they only could fill half of my prescription, it was a hard month physically on me. then Jan. 2015 and i have new prescription and my pharmacy says they still are out! Does anyone know of a pharmacy that will fill Methadone 10mg? I will drive anywhere, winterpark, altamonte ...anywhere. Does anyone know of a pharmacy that doesnt take insurance, maybe I can get enough money to pay for them instead of using my bluecross/blueshield insurance?

Actually, you are likely to have even more problems, if you try to pay cash. Many pharmacies will refuse to fill it, even if they have it in stock, because that makes it easier for someone to doctor and pharmacy hop to obtain more medications than is permissible.

There are typically shortages at the end of the year and into the new year, due to mandatory manufacturing limits as set by the DEA. Once a manufactured hits their yearly limit, they cannot manufacture any new product, until after the new year, when the receive their new allotment quota from the DEA. Thus, since we are nearing the end of January, the situation should rectify soon and pharmacies should receive their supplies very soon. It's really just going to be a matter of waiting and asking them to see who gets it in first.

Does anyone know of a pharmacy there that does have it?

The FDA lists this medications as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

You can go to a methadone clinic and get the meds. While it's not a month's supply all at once and you have to jump through a few hoops, if you have the kind of pain I do it's worth the work.

Did you say you could get Iranian Methadone? Please let me know because I have severe pain issues and the pain clinic tells me they don't believe in it. My Dr. passed suddenly and I am left in constant severe pain. I need help from any source I can get it.

Even if you pay cash for a prescription, any pharmacy and dr can look you up and see exactly what prescriptions yo have gotten filled, who write them, how long they were supposr to last, etc. This is called Prescription Monitoring Program and every state has them.

If you are taking Methadone for chronic pain and you go to a Methadone Clinic, you won't be able to have your pain managed by a pain management dr, or any other dr, because you will have a history of being treated for addiction to opiates.
