What are ilvitrim tablets used for?

Hi. My child has been coughing and had stomach issues (going to the toilet now and then). I took her to the doctor and she was given ilvitrim, pectrolyme, docsed syrup for coughing and a multivitamin; but since I checked the side effects for ilvitrim on the pack, I wanna know that it's not gonna give her more problems?

I have been diagnosed with hiv last week,and was given Trixazole but I don't know how much must I take per day.

Ilvitrim contains the active ingredients Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim, it is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of infections. In the U.S. it is commonly prescribed under the brand name Bactrim.

Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and non-allergic skin rash.

My 2 year old niece was given ilvitrium cause his lymph nodes r swollen. He had blood in his urine aswel but no tests were done at all. Is it safe though? I'm really worried cause he didn't even say what was wrong with him, just said he doesn't know. But how would he know without any tests?
