If Taking Adderall Legally And Am Drug Tested After Vyvanse Will I Get Fired (Page 3)

I have a great job, one i hope to retire from. I work for a very major automobile manufacturer. I had a very minor incident driving a vehicle in the plant. It requires a drug test that had no problem taking due to being prescribed adderall the entire time employed there and have passed 2 drug tests for minor incidents with adderall on my medical chart. after the last test, I decided I would try vyvance, (another ad/hd treatment) from a friend, without a prescription, only because i wasnt going to be driving again for several weeks and would be out of my system long before that. as luck would have it, they gave me a random drug test that night! ...is the lab gonna detect the difference and fire me?!?

Yes I'm interested cause my doctor for some odd reason has sent my drug screen to Quest Diagnostics I needed to kno if they could tell if it was vyvanse or adderall. Thank you for sharing

What are therapeutic levels of vivanse? I had taken 60 mg 8 hours before I had a car accident and got a duo charge for amphetamines.

The lab collector take the urine sample and send it to MRO (medical review officer) in a different state and performed the test there.

If the initial urine test come back positive and then urine is further test with GC-MS. The Gas chromatography test can detect all kind of chemical compound and it isnt just drug.

In like 48 hours MRO will call in 48 hour and ask for photo of the prescription bottle and wont tell you if you pass the drug test and wont tell you type of drug shown on the drug test.

If you fail the drug test then your employer going to withdraw your application and you can request for second drug at your own expense but there is a time frame for retake and usually within 2 days to make the appointment. This can take up a lot of times and employer wouldnt give a second chance to take a urine test.

The best thing to do is move on and look for a different Job. It isnt worth paying out pocket for drug test and fail the test.
