If I Do Not Start My Period By Sunday Should Still Take The Blue Pill Am Afraid May Be Pregnant

I have accidentally skipped a few birth control pills these last few weeks due to a busy schedule, but I always take what I have missed and the pill for that day on the next day. Could I be pregnant? Also, should I take the next blue pill starting on my next packet if I do not get my period by then?

Yes, it you missed pills, or took them late, then that does increase the risk of your being pregnant.

Learn more oral contraceptive details here.

The usual instructions are to continue taking them as directed and if you end up a week or more late for your menstrual cycle, then you should get a pregnancy. Unless your doctor has instructed you to do differently.

In the future, I'd suggest putting a reminder in your phone, or leaving notes around to remind yourself to take them on time.

Have you done a pregnancy test, yet?
