I was wondering what kind of pill is round and white that has GG 780 printed on one side.

This is an old tablet that contained 20mgs of Methylphenidate in a time released formulation, it is a generic for Ritalin SR.
The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, anorexia, and insomnia.
While this tablet is not longer listed as being available, (caveat that may change, again, at any time), there are many other generics available.
