Anytime you miss a pill it increases your risk of pregnancy, according to the NIH. However, if you only missed one, then the risk of not very high.
How late are you? Some women stop having periods while taking oral contraceptives, according to the FDA. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, and headache.
