Ip 110 Norco Doesn't Work - Me Like Watson 853, Same Med.

Updated

Many other people are telling me that ip 110 which is another generic form of hydrocodone 10/325, does not work for them nearly as well as watson 853, which is a better generic of the same thing - hydrocodone 10/325. Obviously, pharmacies are buying ip 110 cause they are cheaper. What else is known out there, and in other people's experience, is it the same? I would like to know?

Hello, Dr. Moki! How are you?

I've actually taken both of them, at different times when it was prescribed and found them both to work well for me. Just like any other medication, it can vary from person to person. The additional thing you have to remember is that most people don't post or talk about a medication, unless they've had a problem with it, there is a much larger number of people that did just fine with it and never say so.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Learn more Norco details here.

I'm sure there is also a group of people that hated both of these and prefer one from some other manufacturer.

Does anyone else have any opinions to add?

I usually get m367. Works great. Then I got the ip 110. At first I thought...maybe I'm mistaken. Took one brand for a day. Did the ip110 the next.. completely different! Did not work. Terrible brand. Now I hear it's cheaply made. No wonder.

I believe the IP 110 pill as not as effective. Here is the link to report to the FDA. It's an easy online reporting form!

fda.gov/scripts/medwatch

If no one reports, we will never be able to change.

Have all Walgreens changed from Watson's 853? Are IP 110 just as good? They changed my meds, yesterday.

I'm taking these now instead of ones made by a different manufacturer and they don't work as well as others I've taken. This is the second time I've gotten these and the difference in how well they work is like night and day. Why do they keep changing and not telling pts about it. I have severe chronic pain everyday and these just aren't cutting it for me. I take only my prescribed dosage. I'm going this week to Dr and I am going to ask the pharmacist about this.

I feel like I'm going through withdraw moving from Watson to IP 110.

Nothing will happen though if we don't pull together and report to FDA and complain to our pharmacies. Please advocate for this!

Watson had a recall on Hydrocodone. I'm also unsure about the ip 110. We,ll see. I wish I was notified about the change ahead of time so I could check another pharmacy.

The last few months I have gotten Watson 853's for chronic back pain and legs due to surgeries I had. Now, this month I am taking IP 110 pills and it just doesn't feel as effective as Watson 853.

Re: Onica001 (# 6) Expand Referenced Message

I experienced this same ineffectiveness when my store pharmacy, Bi Lo, was forced to accept a shipment of 10/325 produced by Amneal, White oval tablet marked with IP 110. I had been given Tris Pharm for many months and did give relief. I called the pharmacy and while they sympathized, individual stores in this chain can no longer request specific manufacturers and they had nothing else in stock. Purchasing is being done at the corporate level now, which is where the greed factor comes in. I do believe each person is different in how the tablet is metabolized. I even suggested to the pharmacy that a knock off may have been substituted. It makes for quite a miserable day. My pharmacist has reported the quality issue to the corporate office, but this will not come in time to help me and others who struggle with chronic pain issues. Did you ever log a report with the FDA? That's my next step.

I think the feedback you are receiving is absolutely correct! I was prescribed hydrocodone 10 mg for my severe back pain, had it filled at my local Meijer pharmacy & received the IP 110 brand. They are having 0 effect! What have they changed? The last time I received this medication was in 2009 & it worked! These IP 110's are not working! I think it is a sin that people like myself with legitimate reasons for use of the medication aren't getting any relief! I need to work & until I can get corrective surgery, I am relying on this to get me thru. I'm not getting thru! How is it that the pharmaceutical companies are getting away with this??? How do they sleep at night while those of us with pain are suffering? I understand the opiate problem out there needs addressed, but this is obliviously not the solution! Some of us that do not abuse or misuse the meds are being punished because of those who do!!! Please help!! We are suffering!!! There has to be a solution to weed out those who are abusing & get relief to those who need it!!! Very frustrating!
