Intralipid IV 20% serves as an energy source in people for whom the usual I.V. therapy would not be adequate, and acts as a source of essential fatty acids to prevent essential fatty acid deficiency.
The 20% stands for (20% I.V. Fat Emulsion). Also available are 10%, and 30% Intralipids.
That aside,
EFA's (essential fatty acids) are also crucial for weight loss and/or muscle management.
