I Was On Suboxen. I Have Surgery.

I was on suboxen and stopped when I found out I am to have surgery. It'll be exactly one week off of it come Tuesday the 21st. I had only took 2½ in 10 days. Will it be out of my system come time for surgery.

Generally, it's recommended that you stop at least 72 hours before surgery, unless your doctor instructs otherwise, so you should be fine.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

No. Thanks. I was really nervous to point of having nightmares that the anesthesia stops working mid operation because of subs in my system.

I don't think you'll have such a problem. They know what to use to avoid that.
