I Took 10mg Of Amphetamine Salts For My Adhd And Nothing Happened?

I was diagnosed with ADHD and was prescribed Adderall (I believe the bottle was 10mg of amphetamine salts but I think it had a word that started with a d like Dextroamphetamine maybe?) Anyways, I tooke it more than a few times and it was SUCH A HELP you could tell the difference. So then I got my refill and was pretty happy. However, today is my first day taking the refill, and although it is the same 10mg dosage as before, I feel no effects.... My body should be use to the adderall because I've taken it before, so why am I not experiencing any of the effects at all? It feels like I was given sugar pills haha. However the pills look exactly like before.

Should I just continue to take them through out the week and hope they begin to work? If they don't what should I tell my doctor? I don't know how he'll respond to me saying "We need to up the ante here doc".

Your body does get used to any medication that you have been taking for awhile, and it will begin to lessen the effects it has on you. In such cases, a dosage adjustment may be required, and in some cases, you may need to try a different medication.

Additionally, some of the the things you feel early on are side effects and they usually go away, once your body gets used to a medication, with Adderall, that can include nausea, headache, nervousness, jittery feelings, and insomnia.

Have you continued taking it? If so, how are you doing on it?

As to approaching your doctor, if needed, it would be best to just discuss the issue, without asking them to raise the dosage, let them reach an appropriate conclusion on their own.
