I Stopped Taking Lisinopril

I have been on Lesinopril 20mg for a little over a year now. I just stopped taking it 4 days ago, trying to go natural on keeping my BP down. the first day I just did yoga each day, ate low calorie food as roasted veggies, and drank smoothies. My daily drinks consisted of Pomegranate juice and a spoon apple cider vinegar diluted with a cup of water. My average BP for the last 3 days was 121/78. Today I started having a severe headache, blurry vision and body ache in general. Is this common when you stop Lisinopril? While I do believe that I can keep my BP down naturally I am suspicious of the side effect of getting rid of this pill..

Yes, that can happen, if you suddenly stop such a medication, rather than tapering off of it, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and rebound blood pressure and heart rate elevations. Thus, you should always keep an eye on your blood pressure and heart rate, especially when you experience a severe headache.

How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

My lisinopril dosage was 20mg twice daily. Doctor advised stopping and starting
Enalapril 10mg once daily. Is this advisable to stop lisinopril suddenly? I did this last evening and now concerned.
