I Need My Antidepressant!

I can't afford my prescription for Effexor 37.5mg. Is it safe to ask my friend for one of her antidepressant pills even though she takes something totally different? I need something bad. This is my 3rd day without my medicine and it's really taking a toll on me.

No, that would not be a safe idea.

However, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals does have an assistance program for the medication, which may enable you to get the medication free, or for a really low price, depending on your income, if you have no prescription coverage.

They don't have information online, but they say to talk to your doctor about it, as the information for qualifying for the program and applications are available to healthcare professionals.
