I Need A Doctor In San Jose California That Will Prescribe Me Vicodin For My Back Pain (Page 5)

I just this morning went to my doctor and I went because my back pain I have had for 3 years that I have opted not to take pain killers for has gotten so bad I can't work out, I can't stand at work for more than 5 minutes with out pain and I am now losing sleep too. I told my doctor all of this and he thinks i need to have rehabilitation and physical therapy which doesnt even start till next month. I need a doctor that understands my immediate needs for my pain. Can anyone help?

I did that and I also went on Yelp and complained about Doctor Norman Kahan a pain management doctor. He called me and said he was paying people to write good complaints. One such person said what a good surgeon Kahan is. He is in Los Gatos Ca and he is Not a surgeon. Yet Yelp pulled my post.
The laws are against us. I hope I can write this as this is my opinion and my experience.

My post should have read good reports on Dr Kahan. He paid for those or he told me he did. There are not many physicians who will not prescribe even codeine. I am not in Santa Cruz. Many people who reside there are looking for a doctor who will prescribe pain medication. I was trying to find a good doctor but failed so I went to my private physician and he helped me out. Maybe you can look up doctors and then read Yelp and see what people are saying. If many say a doctor is mean and cold and has no bedside manner and then a few turn up saying that the same doctor is wonderful, be suspicious. There are those who will get paid for lying. Most have never been on Yelp and have no history on Yelp. Pharmacists don't help. They stay out of it. It is a hard time for people with pain.

Lola, im in santa cruz too. I have a doc that can help you out but i can't see him anymore because we got into an argument. I need to find another doc, let me know if u find one and i can give u my old docs name but its like a 3 month wait to see him so that won't help presently.

I actually live in the bay area & would be willing to go to Santa Cruz if I could possibly get soma/carisoprodol prescribed. I'm a Kaiser patient & after 10+ yrs my doctor refused to prescribe it anymore & I'm in horrible physical condition right now. My jaw bone has fused to my temporal bone by bone & my surgeon is refusing to do surgery unless someone will put me back on soma. If the doctor you were seeing is compassionate & easily prescribes soma & narcotic meds. I'd be extremely grateful if you could share with me the name & location of this doctor. I'm literally in a ton of pain & need to get back on the soma in order to have major surgery. My surgeon/specialist was told that if he prescribed the medication to me he'd be fired. I can't live with the pain anymore, my head feels like it's going to explode. I can't live like this without the medication much longer. I'm in really in a life & death situation & my Kaiser general doctor can care less that she's put me in this position. Your help would literally be life saving. Im not able to open my mouth & have to eat through syringes at this point. My pain is unbearable daily. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I'm more than happy to write back & forth with you. You'd literally be saving my life. If I can't get this medication back soon my life is excruciating & I font know how much longer I can live on this earth with this pain. I've had 3 major back surgery with steal rods & 18 " Guage wire and doctors is saying I need another surgery but will not recommend another so he been given me 80 milligrams of oxytocin for 7 yrs.and now saying he can't nomore I need a doctor that can preactive me the med.I've been taken and who can I call to let people know that my doctor was told that he will go to jail if he writes me another prescription he will not return my calls it need my files about my condition can someone please help

Doctors are under the gun. Laws have changed. If you see any doctor and say you need pain medication they will send you away.

There is a doctor in Redwood City who will take care of you IF you have up to date files and don't take huge amounts. You would have to sign a contract and give a U/A each visit. Her name is Elaine Date, a pain management doctor. I doubt she would like her name here though. She is a kind very excellent physician.

Hey, I live in the Bay Area and am in need of a good dr who will prescribe the meds I need for my back. I was crushed in a car accident and had 2 vertabre removed and 8 vertabre and 4 ribs fused and am constantly in pain and can't work anymore with out meds. My dr retired and I need a new one. I have documentation of condition but don't know of a dr anymore. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

I was recently in a car accident and fractured bones in my neck and back as well as broke my clavicle bone and 3 ribs. I just moved back to the Bay Area and my pcp won't write the oxycodone 30 mg 120 any longer. Does anyone have suggestions for a doctor I can see in the east bay? Thanks

Jasmine thank you for confirming my suspicions. I'm in San Jose and am moving partially because of the hoops I'm having to jump through.

I have neurological issues which cause spasms that tear my joints; so I need the impossible 3 to function. I've done multiple rounds of PT & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy both great tools but...

Today I left pain management in tears after begging to keep my skeletal relaxant and benzo... Denied any relief for the actual pain.

The only reason I'm in PM at this point is none of my other Drs want to touch the benzo.

I love it here, but I'm only 40 and don't think some quality of life is too much to ask for. I'd like to work, grocery shop, maybe visit a friend...

Charlie, I've been wanting to ask a pain patient living in Santa Cruz if it's really difficult to find a pain management Doc who will prescribe pain narcotics, muscle relaxants, etc. I've been in 2 accidents, had multiple broken bones, 5 surgeries (plates/screws to connect bones), all of that triggered a horrible case of Fibromyalgia. Most days I can hardly get out of bed, it's not fun but I try my best. I used to live in Santa Cruz and had most of what I just described happen while living in Southern California. My husband and I and setting in motion to move back to Santa Cruz except my concern of not being able to find a pain management doc. I also do PT, chiro, and the healthy things but I have 2 fabulous docs here, a super kind, caring pain doc and same with an internist. Do you think I will have a tough time finding a caring doc that won't make me suffer or don't move? I'd love to hear from anyone close to the Santa Cruz/San Jose areas. Thanks, Jen

Hi! I am a Veteran that has had constant pain for years. I was cut off from pain medication many years ago, even while suffering horribly for almost a decade. This year I finally had some surgeries that are slowly improving my function. However I am still in pain at this time and my doctors refuse to prescribe any pain medication to get me through the rough days. I have been through the laundry list years ago and Percocet is what has helped the best with the least negative effects. I am looking for a doctor in the San Jose area that could help me manage the pain so I can tolerate my recovery more easily.
