I Cannot Find One Dr. To Give Me An Adderall Prescription

I was taking 5 20mg generic Adderall for almost 10 yrs and then my Dr. retired. Do I have to go to a Psychiatrist for it? I have tried a couple of them, the same answer, no. I'm not asking for 5 a day, even 3 would be nice. I do not have heart trouble, never have had high blood pressure, etc. I took it for ADD and depression. This is in the Rockford, IL area.

It's not that much really. People respond to different dosages.

My primary care doctor prescribes this for me. So at least in the state I’m living in, it’s not a requirement to see any certain doctor to get this med prescribed. 100mg per day is a lot though! I work in a pharmacy and my pharmacists would NOT dispense that much per day to anyone.

Usually if they can see you used to have it prescribed they’re more likely to do it. I think these days only psychiatrists will do it.

Ha I live about 10 miles away from Rockford illinois, or crackford. You have to have your primary care physician refer you to a psychiatrist . So you will have another dr saying it’s ok to prescribe you. Due to your lack of focus and motivation:... try it
