I Am On Sprintec But, I Have Not Started My Period...

I am on day 3 of my inactive pills & I have not started my period yet. I have been on the pill for almost 8 months now. Should I be freaking out?

Hi, Ash! No, I don't think freaking out will do any good whatsoever, other than to stress you out completely.

Stress can cause you to skip your period, so can many other factors.

Have you been engaging in intercourse? Have you missed any pills? Have you done a pregnancy test?

Since you are concerned, I do encourage you to contact your doctor, they can do a test and exam to help you discover what's going on.

I am on the same pills (sprintec 28 day) and lately my periods have been irregular in their start dates. Last month my period was almost a week early resulting in a period lasting about a week and a half. The month before that my period didn't start till around day 5 of the white sugar pills. I'm due to take my 4th white pill this evening, I hoped I would start yesterday (my wedding is this Saturday and my periods are typically 5 days). Any idea why they would be so weird?

Hello, I was just curious about what ended up happening with you. Were you pregnant? I have been taking Tri-sprintec for about 7 months now; I start my pack on Sundays and get my period on the Wednesday of the inactive week. Last month though, I started on Thursday of the inactive week. I am in a committed relationship and we have intercourse probably 3 times a week with no additional form of contraceptive. I did not miss any pills this month but took one or two pills about two-to-three hours late earlier in the month. I have been getting PMS symptoms such as bloating, mood swings, headaches, and cravings for fatty foods as usual. My cramping is little-to-none, which is unusual and I had unusual breast tenderness the past 2 days. Today is Friday and still no period; any advice?
