It is actually difficult to say what medication(s) may be better at helping any certain person. They can all affect everyone differently and what may work wonderfully for one person might not work, at all, in another person. The only thing you can really do is try the medications your doctor suggests and see what works for you, without making you ill from problematic side effects.
Why did your doctor switch from the Abilify to the Risperidone?
And, how long have you been taking the Risperidone?
Most medications of this type will take around 4 to 6 weeks to reach their full effectiveness in the body, so it is hard to know, before then, whether or not it is actually going to really help you.
