I was one Levothyroxin for four years and recently found out my throid was/is normal and I never should have been on the medication. What are the risk of taking it when not needed and the doctor abruptly took me off the medicine

Because Levothyroxine is a thyroid hormone that is used to treat hypothyroidism (a condition where the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone), in the worst case scenario, I think there is a good chance of experiencing symptoms that are more so associated with hyperthyroidism.

Other than that, some patients have reported withdrawal effects that may be associated with taking Levothyroxine.

How long has it been since you stopped taking the medication?
