I Have A History Of Asthma And Used Tedral In The Past But Can Never Find It Anymore (Page 2)
UpdatedAs stated above i have a history of Asthma and was given tedral as a child but am unable to find this product anymore. Can anyone asist me with its location??
I have been taking Accolate 20 mg. for 15 years with theophylline 200 mg. My Dr. has always monitored my theophylline levels and monitored my medication accordingly. Now they are telling me that theophylline is being taken off the market. Accolate came out about 15 years ago and I take it with the theophylline. Inhalers are good if taken as ordered. I have suffered with asthma since I can remember. My theory is that nothing else matters if you cannot breathe. At my age, knowing there are newer med in the making, I will have to rely on my doctor's research for newer treatment that will not interact with my other meds! Accolate works! Linbeth
I have asthma and I used to use Tedral but I am now using albuteral & Advair 50/500 but I feel like the Tedral worked better
I spent 15 years as a warrior of the streets. Tedral and a shot of Rum was the #1 cure for my Chronic and Severe Asthma (The 'booze' was from my Grandmother a Blackfoot native American). Quibroom was also tried. Tedral was perfect with or without the Rum. Out of nothing the Tedral was GONE. Now many years later I have , non smoking COPD , Status Asthmaticus and am on a dual diagnosis set of 11 medications...$560.00 a month.........I hear you . Something stinks.
I was given Tedral in the 60's as a child for extreme asthmatic bronchitis due to my susceptibility to pneumonia. It gave me the ability to breath, but also the jitters if I tried to do anything. Fine if I stayed in bed, which, for a kid, was part of the treatment. Kids don't like to stay in bed. I hated that jittery feeling. Over-counter inhalers (when available) also give me the jitters. The best thing that DOES THE JOB of relieving bronchitis WITHOUT JITTERS, for me, is the albuterol sulfate inhalation aerosol. The stupid machine albuterol delivery mechanism causes jitters, is bulky, does NOT deliver correct dosage, nor allow normal work schedule. I have irregular heartbeat which I have learned, here, may have been caused by Tedral, but cardiologist told me was something that can be caused by extremely high fever as a child (pneumonia?). I must have antibiotics before major dental work or any other surgery. I have suffered migraine headaches, but not until years later, and am inclined to blame heat exhaustion/stroke suffered previous to migraine headaches. Tedral was terribly bitter, and I can see having it get stuck on the tongue would cause vomiting, which I avoided by having liquid in my mouth first and dropping the pill in the puddle and gulping both down fast. I only used Tedral when sick, and not all the time for asthma.
From age 8 I was prescribed tedral, it was the only effective treatment for y asthma, inhalers didn't come close to treating my asthma as did tedral id like to find how I could get a prescription for it.
Coke and Tedral are nothing alike. Tedral is a wonderful medicine for asthma. Please get help.
I just cleaning out my grandfather's drawer and found a bottle waay in the back. He had COPD and I gather there are generic versions available. This is an original bottle.
In absence of tedral sa a large number of asthma patients may die, because no other medicine in medical science is as effective as tedral sa. So it is urgent and necessary to give the order for the reproduction of tedral sa by our respective health minister ji for saving a large number of asthmatic patients. Tedral sa is life for asthma patients.
I was in the same boat as you. Tedral is highly addictive, the reason you can't find it. I was 8 years old when started using it until I was 22-23 yrs old. I was addicted went through with draws had a hard time adjusting to life without it.
Re: Verwon (# 3)
So if I send a prescription to a canadian pharmacy, I can get Tedral here in NYC?
Re: Gary (# 20)
"No inhalers"? In the 60's? I had asthma in the 60's as well, and the inhaler I used was called ISOPRYL.
