That is very unusual. Where are you located? Did you go to a regular doctor or an emergency services facility?
I know in the U.S. that if you require a D&C, or some other procedure and you go to an ER, they would have to do it, whether or not you have insurance, due to the possible life threatening risks to the mother.
The only time they may not do so, was if you weren't in severe pain, or any danger and things were completely progressing naturally.
If you are in severe pain, then I'd suggest going to some type of emergency services facility.
As to the medication, this contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, the Hydrocodone is a narcotic, so you do have to be careful about doubling up, without a doctor's approval, especially if you aren't tolerant to narcotics.
The Acetaminophen can also be a real danger, because it can be toxic in amounts over 4,000mgs in day, so you'd have to make sure not to take too many.
It's generally advised not to exceed 8 tablets in a day.
