Hyomax As Prn

Can Hyomax be used as an occasional prn or does it need to be taken regularly? Is there a advantage (other than speed) to dissolving it under the tongue rather than swallowing whole?

Information that I've gathered on this topic is listed below, I believe it addresses both of your questions pretty well:

"The intake of this drug should be through oral means. The medicine needs to be taken by mouth, generally after every 12 hours or as directed by the physician.
The dosage of these drugs should be based on the medical condition of patients and their response to therapy. It is not advisable to increase the dosage or take it more than required without consulting physicians. Individuals who are over 12 years in age should not have more than 1.5 milligrams in a single day."

"These extended-release capsules should be swallowed whole. Patients using these tablets or capsules should not crush or chew them. Else, this can release the medicine at once making it dissolve faster into the bloodstream and causing complications. It can enhance the danger of side effects. Patients should not split the tablets unless there is a score line on the surface of the drugs and they are recommended by doctors to do so."

I hope this helps!
