Im on 20mcg Butrans patch and just took 2 10mg hydro with acetimeniphen. I have a Pain clinic drug test tomorrow. Will they show up as separate opiates or just opiates? ## Depends if they do drug specific tests, which I am assuming they do. The list is for certain narcs, etc and I would think they are going to know you took hydro. If u are already on one opiate it wouldn't make sense to just test for opiates but will test for specific ones. If you need a med like hydro for breakthrough pain discuss this with the doc. Then you won't have to be worried the next time this happens. Just a thought.

Does the hydrocodone-ACETAMINOPHEN contain lactose? I am very lactose intolerant. It causes lots of gas & bloating, which causes considerable more pain. Not a good thing when I'm taking it for severe pain (lower back). What are my alternatives? ## I'm not certain which one you're asking about, since Mallinckrodt does manufacture several in different dosages, but so far from what I've found, none of them are listed as containing lactose. The inactive ingredients are listed as being: crospovidone magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone corn starch silicon dioxide stearic acid You can learn more Vicodin details here. Since the Hydrocodone is a narcotic, it can cause constipation and some gastric upset, so what you're experiencing may just be due to th...

Is hydrocod /apap 5/325 a drug that is addictive? I'm taking it for pain associated with MS. ## Yes, Hydrocodone is highly addictive; as are all opiate medications that I know of. People who take Vicodin/Norco 'usually' tend to feel a rush of euphoria and relaxation, and any physical pain begins to decrease. Over time, users can develop a tolerance for the drug, and they will eventually require more and more to achieve those same results. From what I've heard, many people who 'abuse' this medication consume anywhere from 20 to 30 pills each day, and sometimes even more. If you or a loved one are struggling with Hydrocodone abuse or addiction, I'd strongly suggest talking to your doctor about setting up a tapering schedule or opt for seeing a drug abuse counse...

Can I take hydrocodone for gout pain? ## Yes, you can take hydrocodone for any kind of pain. Just make sure you are taking your own medication & not someone else's. lol seriously, though, they have other meds for gout, Allopurinol which is for acute gout, the kind in a flare up, and colchicine, which is to control gout for the long term. I would talk to your doc about those first. But for temporary use, ask your doc about a low dose of hydro just til the flare up eases.

I am trying to find out how many grams of codiene are in a hydrocodone-APAP 10-500 TABITP. Anyone know? confused about it. ## 10mg hydrocodone with 500mg of acetaminphen ## Hydrocodone is similar to codiene, but the two drugs are both different from each other. ## That is correct, there is no Codeine in this, the active narcotic in this medication is the Hydrocodone, 10/500 means it contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, this is a generic for Vicodin. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. You can read more here: Did you have any other questions? ## funny v on back and cr 500 on font ## I have been given a generic prescription for Lortab. Is the watson 820 4.5/0.38/325mg stronger than the watson 843 10mg hydrocodone 325mg? ## Hello, I was able to identify the yellow pill with the WATSON 820 imprint as aspirin (325 mg) + Oxycodone hydrochloride (4.5 mg) + oxycodone terephthalate (0.38 mg). However, I haven't been able to find a match for the other pill you are describing (yellow Watson 843). Are you saying the dosages for the Watson 843 pill are (325 mg) of acetaminophen and (10 mg) of Hydrocodone? I've read that Oxycodone is generally 1.5 times more more potent than Hydrocodone, however it will really depend on the person taking it. From what I've read, some people find Percocets (Oxycodone + Acetaminophen) to be stronger than Vicodin (Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen) - and vice versa- so who's to say how you...

Peach oblong pill with H C with a line scored down center on other side of pill are 2 capital P's. ## As of yet I haven't come across any specific details to verify this pill's identification. However there was another post here on the site from back in 2010 wondering if the "H C" on their peach oblong pill was also referring to Hydrocodone. Depending on where you found this pill or who you got it from, may I ask what it is that leads you to believe it to be Hydrocodone and not something else?

blue oblong a\p 110 hydrocodone ## No, this is not a Hydrocodone tablet, nor does it contain any type of narcotic. This is a Cephadyn tablet, it contains 650mgs of Acetaminophen and 50mgs of Butalbital, this medication is mainly used to relieve migraines and tension headaches. You can learn more Acetaminophen details here and you can learn more Butalbital details here. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and headache. w hite watson, 397, tablet. ## I think the marking may have been WATSON 387, since it's a bit hard to read on these tablets. It contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 750mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Vicodin, it is a narcotic analgesic. Thus, it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You can learn more Vicodin details here. Another note that needs to be added here is that as of 2013, the FDA has made a request that all manufacturers lower the amount of Acetaminophen in these combination prescription products to no more than 325mgs per dose. There are serious concerns about the dangers of liver damage and failure that can be associated with long-term use of high amounts, as wel...

Thus, they are now being replaced by tablets that have the same marking and same ingredients, but which are white. The s...
