How long does it take hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5mg/325mg to leave your system, if you have been taking them for a year 3 times a day without taking anyting to flush your system ## I think a big factor depends on the type of drug test your taking; because, for a urine test Hydrocodone can be detected for up to 1-6 days after your last dose. For a hair test, Hydrocodone can be detected for up to 90 days after your last dose. And for a saliva test, up to 1-10 days after your last dose. Hello. I am going into my 6th month since I've started taking hydrocodone. When I received my last refill, I noticed the medication was different. I assumed it was just a different "brand" and thought nothing of it. To shorten the dramatic details, I noticed my vision was getting blurry, shortness of breath, HIGH FREQUENCY constant ringing (?), and honestly my pain is still horrible. It's almost like I have a slight "head buzz" with disoriented thinking. Thus, I looked up the brand name of my previous pill and the new one. One of the primary factors that doesn't seem to be well known to the public, is that the FDA allows active ingredients in generic meds to vary by as much as 25% from the actual listed dosage. This could potentially mean that a 5mg hydrocodone may actually turn out to be 3 to 7 mgs depending on the manufacturer. Aside from that, subtle differences in the "inactive" ingredients (binders/fillers) could also impact the absorption/overall efficacy of the medication. I have been taking Hydrocodone/Ibuprofen 7.5-200mg tabs for over 10 years now for chronic pain from having my jaw smashed & back broken. The past two months I have received a different generic from Wallgreens with Actavis as the manufacturer and THEY DO NOT WORK. Absolute crap!! I am in Houston & have terminal disease and been on hydrocodone 10-325 & fentanyl patch for years. Picked up prescriptions today and Walgreens filled fentanyl patch but says No one has hydrocodone? I had extremely high blood pressure so my doctor put me on an extra blood pressure pill. People, I've worked for Actavis for years and I can tell you we're simply complying with the ACA regulations imposed to pharmaceutical medicine. Yes, the formulation was changed but it was only changed to leverage a longer carbon base on the cytochrome P450 enzyme to prevent it from metabolizing into hyrdromorphone in the liver. But other than that, our new formulation's chemical structure is identical to you've been getting. If you want proof then please ship off samples to private labs for testing.
