A clear capsule with blue powder and no markings or imprints ## I found a jar of clear capsules with a black band. It has no markings, but has black and blue little pills inside of it. It may also have clear liquid. ## I found what seems to be the same pill at my workplace. It is a clear capsule containing a clear liquid inside. Floating in the liquid contents are about 12 small blue and black beads. The capsule is sealed on the outside with a black band along the seam where the two capsule halves meet. There are no other markings of any kind. Any idea what sort of drug or supplement this is? Please advise. ## All manufactured medications in the U.S. are required to have an imprint to enable their identification, in case of emergency. I'm only 25 years old, but have the spine of someone twice my age with degenerating discs and one herniated disc, due to years of excessive exercise and heavy lifting. Most of the time my pain is under control, but when it gets bad, even on 50mg of hydrocodone a day I can barely move. But of course no doctor wants to prescribe a 25 y/o anything stronger. I've been researching local doctors and pain management centers and one that came up was Dr. Daniel Cha of Valparaiso, IN. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with him and if so, is he any good? and does he not treat you like a total junkie (like many pain management doctors do)? ## yes, ha i WAS his patient. he has no bedside manner, he cut his whole practice down on meds, mg wise. if you got insurance and want to ge...

I filled my prescription at my pharmacy that I always use and I received a different brand marked 10/325 RP. Didn’t think anything of it or notice until I checked due to me not feeling any difference in my pain level after an hour and I usually feeling a big difference after 30 mins. My concern is that this is a less effective knock off of hydrocodone and isn’t going to keep my chronic neck and back pain under control. Has anyone experienced this with this brand? Am I able to go back to the pharmacy with my concerns and ask for a non generic. I don’t see the use in taking a pain medication that isn’t providing the same level of relief. Thanks! ## What you've received are Rhodes Pharmaceuticals Hydrocodone (NDC 42858-0203). There have been many complaints abou...

I have several hydroc/apap prescriptions (syrup), and I can't remember if they are cough suppressants or not. I don't want to take it for my back pain if it is a cough syrup. I can't swallow pills, so I get the syrup form, and I don't want to take a cough syrup. The liquid is yellowish. Can anyone help me decipher the label? What does ELXQUAL mean? Also, how strong is one teaspoon...what pill strength would you compare it to. ## Hydrocodone with APAP (Acetaminophen) is used to treat both pain, and as a cough suppressant. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, and dry mouth. what is difference ip110 and Watson 853? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? The tablet with the IP 110 is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals, the other is by Watson Pharmaceuticals and they both list them as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Thus, the only difference is that they are manufactured by different companies, which is very common with generics. Several options are always available to create market competition and help keep prices as low as possible. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have taken both and the Watson is better. I have a lot more bre...

Re: The price of hydrocodone... I've been told big store chains now have limits on what they can order; store policy. The stores are now more afraid of robbery. So, each store is raising the price, not the manufacturer. Go to the small private pharmacies. I've been told they will have the medication in stock. They can set their own limit on the amount they keep in stock. Last time I went to fill my medication, they were on backorder. I checked 6 stores that were close and they had none. I had to drive a half hour to get it filled. Today, it was triple the price. For those who need medication to function, this is unacceptable. ## Since this is now a Schedule II, the increased security involved in dealing with this med is the reason for the increase in cost. I had a total shoulder replacement and my doctor gave me Percocet to go home with. They immediately took the pain away for about 4-5 hours. I have really bad rheumatoid arthritis and bad knees had one replaced have been on hydrocodone but now doctor is trying to get me to go off of that or at least go down to three a day this would work during the day but then at night I can’t sleep because of paint so can I take Tylenol p.m. to sleep at night ## If you are taking Hydrocodone that also contains Acetaminophen, it would be best not to add the Tylenol, since it also contains Acetaminophen, which could result in your experiencing Acetaminophen toxicity, and it has been known to be fatal. I have been taking Hydrocodone 10/325 for chronic pain, 1 pill every 6 hours. My Dr. just prescribed Oxycodone 5/325 with up to 2 pills every 6 hours. Which is stronger? ## The oxy is stronger but who knows your body may b used 2 the vicoden. But if he is allowing u 2 take 2 @ a time it would b better if he would just give u the percocet 10/325 as it would b as effective with 1/2 the amount of aspirin. Try it out n post your feedback. ## Scott is correct, the Oxycodone is actually stronger than the Hydrocodone. To equal 10mgs of the Hydrocodone, you only need 6.67mgs of the Oxycodone, so I'd advise caution when you first take them, you probably shouldn't take 2 of them, until you try one and see how well it works for you.
