I'm in chronic pain please help me. I have SEVERE arthritis, and have a 5 yr old back injury. ## I was also in a car accident, broke my teeth, suffered bruises and lacerations, had a painful hip replacement, another one on its way, and am living in chronic pain. I have been to my insurance, gone through the song and dance of getting a primary, who will not prescribe hydrocodone for the bilateral hip pain, or other residual pain. I am also undergoing the very painful reconstructive dental surgery to remove poorly placed implants that rub constantly up against my remaining infected implants causing me excruciating pain. This is chronic but I hope to be getting them removed. I am considering medical tourism since my insurance doesn't cover implants. They are considered cosmetic. I ...

I’m taking hydrocodone for sciatica until I get approval for my injection. Now I’m having severe nausea, constipation, dizziness and a bout of Afib. Anyone else face this horrible situation? Thanks. ## It is an opiate, and they are known to raise the risk of someone experiencing Afib, according to FDA reports. The nausea, dizziness, and constipation are also common side effects, along with headache, and dry mouth. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. What injection are you looking into? Can you post back and be more specific? That would enable me to provide you with more information. Are you on any other medications?

This med is being provided locally for our 12 yr old Llaso Apso, who has intermittent intractable shoulder pain and spasms after two surgeries in the area. Tramodol and methocarbamol didn't work, and this med (hydrocodone 5mg-homatropine 1.5mg doesn't work until her second dose. Is that because it's prescribed at 1/4 pill and it should be 1/2...she weighs 17 pounds! ## Hi Lynn, I'm so sorry to hear about your pet. My only guess is that the veterinarian wanted to divide the doses so that it stays in her system throughout the day, instead of the medication being taken all at once (since that might be too much for her size). Your pup's tolerance might also be increasing. I would talk to your Vet about changing the dosage. Also, have you tried any other methods besides m...

I have two scripts of hydrocodone. One is stamped m365 and the other is n356. The n356 makes me sleepy & the m365 makes me hyper. Both bottles say they are the same thing, but how can I react so differently to them? ## Both M365 and N356 5, contain a combination of Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone at a dosage of 5/325mg. However, there are still some unique differences... The N356 5 pill lists Hydrocodone bitartrate while M365 simply lists Hydrocodone (by itself). Bitartrate is an acid tartrate, that from what I could gather seems to play some sort of role in the absorption process. Each pill also contains a different set of binders and fillers. So it may be that some of these supposedly inert chemicals are affecting the way your body would typically respond to the medication as a whole....

Has anyone found out if Lortab or Lorcet is a better hydrocodone option for chronic pain, if you're one of MANY people that have had BAD reactions to many of the defective, generic 10-325 Norco? Serious answers from chronic pain patients, please. ## They all contain Hydrocodone as the active ingredient, with Acetaminophen. Thus, there won't be much of a difference between them, they are all different names for the same opiate. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. What type of bad reactions have you experienced? Can you please post back and clarify?

Hey guys, the IP 109 / 500 is naproxen. But if you have an oblong pill with IP 109 and a line on the back I think it's Vicodin 5mg. Personally I think they look way too much alike. Always check. ## Hello, Kristin! How are you? Thank you for your helpful post! I'd just like to add some clarification to avoid confusion that may be caused by the typo… The 500mg Naproxen tablet has the marking IP 190 on one side and 500 on the other. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. The generic for Vicodin has the IP 109 on one side. The FDA classifies it as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and...

Me and my boyfriend decided we were going to do a binge on pills. He took 20 clonazapam 1 mg and 7 hydrocodone 5/500 in a period of 12 hours...this was on October 11th 2012 he slept great and was functioning properly. He left my house at 8 and went and drank at our friends house. Our friend said he couldn't carry on a two minute conversation without falling asleep. Our friend took him back to his parents and had to practically carry him inside. October 12th I got no response all day and around 8pm I called and his phone is off. It had been off the entire day. It's now October 13th at 6:00 a.m and his phone is still off. He's a really heavy sleeper...I'm just worried. I took 9 and a half 1 mg clonazapams and 5 hydrocodone 5/500's and I slept pretty good and was very d...

To me... ## They are manufactured by Sun Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, constipation, dry mouth, and dizziness. I have just been released from my pain clinic for testing positive for Hydrocodone. I do NOT use that. I take OxyContin and fioricet (for migraines). They show I've tested positive for hydro 4-5 times. I have not at all taken it. Can anyone please help me? ## Do not take medications that are not prescribed for you. ## Paula Actually you should have been dismissed after the first positive for an UNPRESCRIBED CDS.That you didn't seek answers or remedial action after a proported false positive speaks to your culpability in this test result.Any professional who would continue prescribing after 3 or 4 positives was indeed commiting malpractice by indiscriminately prescribing controlled dangerous substances to you.Its a little late to cry foul now. sorry just being real. Urine testing started June 2016 in my Dr's office. I signed some papers, did not have my glasses, had nurse explain to me what was this? Urine tested, left office with Hydrocodone 7.5. I also take Xanax 1mg x4 daily, for 30 yrs. Also take Ambien 60 mg nightly for sleep. Went back as scheduled 1 month later, nurse took me in a room to tell me I tested positive for Methamphetamine. I sat in shock, as she kept questioning me to tell her, she'd get me help. Asked if I wanted referral to a different dr. I said 'no'. 7 weeks have gone by and I'm so angry, I'd like to talk to the hospital administrator or make some type of complaint. I actually dropped my urine cup in toilette, just put it in door with 2 other cups, none labeled. I don't know what to do. HELP PLEASE...

I took only one 7.5 lortab and was drug tested. Will it show up in my urine? If so, for how long? ## It really depends a lot on what time you took the 7.5 Lortab and afterwards, the length of time you had before your drug test. Lortab has a half-life of roughly 3.8 hours. This means that 3.8 hours after the dose you took, half of the original dose is still present and active in the body. After another 3.8 hours (or 7.6 hours total), half of what was left after the first 3.8 hours is present and active (one-quarter of the original dose). Most pharmacists consider that after three to five "half-lives," close to 90% of the drug has been eliminated and is no longer affecting the body. The maximum wait to achieve five half-lives for Lortab would be: 5 x 3.8 = "19 hours". But ...

I've been taking Watson 5-325 hydrocodone from Walgreens for years for back pain. I am disabled, have scoliosis and two bad car accidents caused the need. 3 months ago Walgreens changed to this new Actavis brand. It isn't working! Until I read this, I thought I would have to increase my dosage. Also for the past 3 months I've had sore throat and pain in sinuses and ears. I thought I had overdone my Flonase and have gone through 2 rounds of antibiotics without relief. When I read about the mother's ears ringing and nausea, I put this together. Thank you so much! I scheduled another appointment today for next week about this. Hopefully a new scrip will solve both issues. I went to CVS today and found out they have qualitest brand hydrocodone. ## @Brat Cat, You're defin...

I had shoulder surgery and after 3 1/2 weeks I'm still having horrible pain. Dr prescribed diclofenac sod 75 mg twice a day. He had previously given me a prescription for hydrocodone/APAP 5-500 mg which I haven't been taking. However, my pain has gotten unbearable. Can I take both of them together? ## Hello, Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between Hydrocodone APAP (Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen) and Diclofenac sodium. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. It may be wise to speak with your doctor before combining these medications, just to be safe. Also, please be careful with the Hydrocodone APAP, Hydrocodone can be quite addictive. Ar...

I have 7.5-325/15ML - How many ML would it take to equal one pill of hydrocodone? ## Hello, Katie! How are you? From what you've listed the dosage is 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen per 15mls, so that would be the same as taking the same dosed tablet. However, you should not exceed the given dosage instructions. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Sooooo is that one tablet for every 15mls? ## 15 ml is one 7.5 pill. A 5 oz bottle is almost equal to 9.5 pills.

I have small round white pills with a 50 imprinted on one side and blank on the other. They are supposed to be hydrocodone.
