What does ITP mean? It is written on the prescription for Hydrocodone-acetaminophen 5- 325 ITP?

They are supposed to be the same ("equivalent") but there can be up to a 40% variation in the amount of the active ingredient (in this case, hydrocodone) between different generic manufacturers. Either 20% more or 20% less active ingredient(s) than contained in the name brand drug is entirely legal in the U.S. In my experience, most generic drugs have about 20% less of the active ingredient than the name brand drug does.

hi i am taking norco 5/325. if i take liquid medication will i excrete the meds back out? The doctor said that it was not in my system.

sanjero, the new medication you received is the same dosage as the other, it's just been manufactured by a different company.

This is a very common occurrence, when a medication is available as a generic. Most pharmacies will stock the one from whichever company was offering the cheapest price, so you may not always receive the same tablet from the same company.
