Hydrocodone M358 Worried Parent

Will taking these get someone high I have a child I want to aware so i can make sure to keep them hidden

This is a generic for Vicodin that contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen.

And yes, the Hydrocodone is a narcotic opiate, so it can have that affect on many people that take it and is very commonly abused for that reason.

And for anyone who may be looking for an identification of this tablet at a later date, I just want to add a note to alert them to the fact that the amount of Acetaminophen in all of these will be changing, via a request from the FDA.

Due to the risk of organ damage and failure that can be associated with long-term use of high doses of Acetaminophen, as well as the risk of overdose toxicity, they have asked all manufacturers to lower the amount of Acetaminophen in these prescription products to no more than 325mgs per dose.

All changes are expected to be completed by January of 2014, so in the future, please don't just assume that this tablet still contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen.
