My doctor gave me this medication for pain? What can you tell me about it?

My son was given IC Hydrocodone-APAP 5-500 Tablran for pain when he broke a finger. It made him very sick and disoriented. What was in this medication that he could be reacting to?

Jodi, that medication is Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen, a generic for Vicodin or Lortab, the Hydrocodone is a Narcotic, which is probably what caused the side effect of making him sick, that is very common with these types of medications, especially if you aren't used to them.

Someone taking them may also experience: drowsiness, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth.

GG, the 3601 V pill is the same medication in a different dosing, it contains 10mgs of Hydrodocone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen.

The side effects and other information would be the same as what I listed in the other post.
