Hydrocodone Apap 5mg 325mg Expires What Happens

How long is this medication good after their expiration date. I don't take often so I have some over a year old.

Hello,

Based on my research, U.S. prescription medications are required to have a mandatory expiration date of 1 year from the date the prescription is filled. After a year is up, the medication should still be safe but it will start to lose its potency and can no longer be as effective. However, there are some medications that can become dangerous after they expire.
