My son takes 1/2 a tablet every 6 hours how much tylenol is he actually getting?

If his tablets are 5/500's then a 1/2 tab is 250 of Tylenol and 2.5 of codeine.

The active narcotic in this is Hydrocodone, so he'd be getting approximately 2.5mgs of it and approximately 250mgs of the Acetaminophen/Tylenol.

And the reason I say approximately, is because when you cut, or break a pill, it is very hard to be precise, so the dosage could be a milligram, or two, one way or the other.
