My husband takes the Hydrocodone/Apap 5-500MG Tablet by Mallinckrodt. When we went to a different drug store, they gave us Hydrocodone/Apap 10-325. The drug store says it's the same as Hydrocodone/Apap 5-500MG. This can't be true?

Well, no, obviously not, this is clearly a different dosage of the medication.
The first tablet he was receiving contained 5mgs of the narcotic Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen.
The new one contains 10mgs of the Hydrocodone and only 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is completely different and not equivalent at all.
The higher dose of the narcotic could cause more severe side effects, such as: drowsiness, nausea, dizziness and constipation.
In addition, it could cause him to build a tolerance or addiction faster, and when he does get the other prescription, again, the lower dosage of the narcotic may no longer be effective.
Have you spoken to the pharmacy or store manager about this?
