Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 5 325 Tb Exceed Recommended Dose?

How many can you take if the doctor recommended 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours as needed? Can you take more if pain is still extreme after 3 hours?

There are a number of reasons why I wouldn't advise taking anything more than what is recommended by your doctor. However, if you feel that what you were prescribed just isn't strong enough, a higher dosage may be something to discuss at your next appointment.

While I do know patients who have taken more than this without experiencing repercussions, it's important to understand that everyone responds differently based on their tolerance as well as other individual factors.

And due to the high risk of liver damage, it also doesn't seem like a good idea to take more than 325mg of Acetaminophen in one sitting on a regular basis. With that said, a safer option in my opinion may be to ask your doctor about trying a 7.5/325 or 10/325mg dosage form.

Does anyone else have some suggestions?
