Hydrocodone/apap Rx's Are Schedule Ii.?

In the past when prescribed "Norco's" or "hydrocodone combination products", they were easily dispensed. Now, since upgraded to the highest restricted "SCHEDULE II, they are more difficult to receive on the same day. Has anyone been sent away or put off because of the new rescheduling to CII of "HCP's "? (Hydrocodone combination products). y

The purpose of reclassifying this med was so it wouldn't be easily dispensed. It seems their goal has been reached.

I can agree with BL. The intention behind reclassification appears to have made its impact across the country, to make it seem as though Norco is hardly available on any given day (let alone the same day you need your script filled). My dad is one example who has drove around several cities in Southern California trying to fill a low dose of Norco and still ran into issues with waiting several days. To top it off many pharmacists are also trained to say they're short handed on just about any narcotic pain medication now-a-days to help maintain preventative anti-theft and anti-abuse measures being put into place. I just hope it doesn't continue to negatively affect the legitimate patients who can't fill their Rx due to a lack of discretion for each individual's situation/circumstances.
