I think the marking on this tablet was actually WATSON 540, especially with it being blue and yes, it contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen.

Learn more Vicodin details here.

This is a narcotic pain reliever, so it may be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth.

And there are a couple of important pieces of information that I need to add in regards to these tablets…

The first is that they are now changing the color of these, due to the fact that there were people who were allergic to or sensitive to the dye in them. Thus, they are now being replaced by tablets that have the same marking and same ingredients, but which are white.

The second is that at some point in the future, before January of 2014, by request of the FDA, all of these combination prescription products are being changed to contain only a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose. This request was made because of the risk of liver damage or failure that can be associated with long-term use of high doses, as well as the risk of overdose toxicity.

Some manufacturers have already begun to implement the changes, so please don't just assume in the future that this tablet still contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen.

Are there any questions or comments?

Is there anything I can help with?
