Hydrocodone 10 500 What Color Is Better? (Top voted first)
UpdatedI used this treatment for more than three years. For almost a year the color of this treatment was pink but it was very expensive. I have been changed to the same treatment, but cheaper medicine, the color is light blue. I went to another pharmacy and they told me the treatment colors vary (white). My question is, is there a difference between them and are any of them better than the other?

I would also like to respond to the difference in the Blue 10/500 hydrocodone/acet vs. the new white ones made by WATSON. I have taken these for over 10 years. There is a big difference. I take them for Chronic Neck Pain. The white ones take longer to act and have severe side effects. I called the company on several occasions and was told by a lab-tech that , indeed, the binders and fillers and were different. On another call to the same company, was told , only blue dye removed. My life has been devastated by this change. It seems no one will listen. I am reporting this to the FDA, please if this is happened to you cal the FDA. I have several friends that take the same med and have identical side effects (takes longer to start working,Confusion, Ringing in ears, Coughing up phylem, Memory loss, and much more. PLEASE HELP STOP THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen is a generic, one of the name brands for it would be Vicodin.
And when something is available as a generic, it's usually made by several different companies and there are no rules on how the tablets have to look, or what color they have to be. That's entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer.
Learn more Vicodin details here.
There is also no way to say that one is better than the other, because while there can be some fluctuations from one manufacturer to another, what it really comes down to is how sensitive you are to such differences and which one works better for you.
Have you had better results and pain relief with one of them, than you have with the others?
I had a stroke 26 years ago and I suffer from chronic nerve pain ( I'm 55).I've been on Hydrocodone 10/500 for many years and I can tell you there is a big difference with the pink or blue and the generic white. The white ones are weaker and take longer to provide any pain relief and they do not last as long.I've heard other people in my doctor's office say the same thing.I live in Alabama and evidently the white ones are all that is available.I called the FDA and the gentleman gave me two phone numbers to call to complain and I will do so first thing in the morning. One is to The center for drug research and the second is to consumer affairs. There is something very wrong here and it needs to be investigated.I am not the only person suffering with this generic. It has been an absolute nightmare.
