How long does Hydrocodone/apap 10 325mg tab stay in your system if taking 4 a day. How long does a 100mcg Fentanyl stay in your system.My doctor will be drug testing me and they have different drug tests.

The half-life of hydrocodone is approximately 3.8 hours. So after roughly 4 hrs, 1/2 of the dose still remains in your system. How long does it stay in your system? essentially indefinitely (unspecified period of time), but detectable amounts after 16 hours would be 1/16th of the dose. Chronic use can change this and may be unpredictable as to when it is out of your system.

Fentanyl on the other hand has a half-life of about 7 hours (i.e. after 7 hours, half the drug remains. After another 7 hours, half of that, and so forth). This calculation above does not apply to Fentanyl patches or injections however, as that is a totally different method of consumption than the normal oral pill.

As with any drug, the length of time following drug use for which a positive result may occur is dependent upon several factors including the frequency and amount of usage, metabolic rate, excretion rate, drug half-life, and the drug user’s age, weight, activity, and diet. So don't just take the half-life into consideration when getting drug tested, because any of the factors above can also play a significant role. Hope this helps! As you can see it's not that easy to pinpoint an exact time frame for when it will be out of your system, but you should allow yourself a generous amount of time (days) to prepare for a test.
