Hydroco/apap 5-325 Vs Darvocet?

Darvocet discontinued, replaced by hydroco/apap 5-325, dose 1 q8h. I do not get the pain relief I did with Darvocet. Perhaps dosage is not high enough or strength not strong enough?

The dosage not being high enough would also be my guess. The Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen is available with the Hydrocodone in 7.5mgs and in 10mgs, so you may wish to talk to your doctor about trying one of those dosages.

Darvocet is a very mild narcotic, so it doesn't take a very large dose of anything else to equal or surpass it.

The side effect profile is very similar, for both and may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth.
