Not necessarily. Hydrocodone and Oxycodone are two different pain medications that effect each person differently. Some people actually respond very well to Hydrocodone and not so well to Oxycodone; and vise versa. Unfortunately there's really no way of knowing what to expect ahead of time with any medication that you haven't used before.

Not to mention Hydrocodone is also accompanied by Acetaminophen, which can pose a lot of risks and side effects in and of itself. In that regard, Acetaminophen could very well be the culprit and not Hydrocodone.

Have you had a chance to discuss this with your doctor yet?
